We at watchee.net protect your privacy and are very serious about your security concerns.
This document list the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use watchee and how we protect those data.
- We collect the data entered into our registration form. This is used to do personalized tracking and xSMS messaging. No other member can access the details, only the login name is visible for example to lookup buddies.
- To use live tracking on the web, the browser must support Cookies and Javascript.
- When you do live tracking with your device, all buddies which were authorized by you may see your position details.
- Depending on your configuration, we store the tracking and xSMS data server side so you can later re-access the information.
Controlled privacy enforcement is on two levels
- The law of the country for companies
- The government itself trying to gather informations
This is extended by privacy statements of the company itself (see our text above).
Watchee is run by a Swiss company with the servers in Germany, like this a quite high privacy enforcement is guaranteed.

Germany has, behind Greece, the second highest level currently available (privacyinternational.org states: "One of the strictest privacy laws in the world").
Note that especially servers in US have a not existing privacy protection because of the USA PATRIOT Act. This hits ebay, amazon, google, microsoft et al which stores customer data from all over the world.
