GPS Connection Issue

Postby kcscott » Thu Jan 08, 2009 6:10 pm

Hi, I have an SPV E650 and Navicore GPSlim240 Bluetooth GPS receiver which I use with my phones navigation software (Nav4All). I can run the midlet, and connect to the server but when I try to connect the GPS, I get the error message [resource.configuration] No GPS and no CellId available: useBluetoothApi=true useLocationApi=false useGpsSerial=false. I tried setting the COM port for the gps to COM7 and useGpsSerial=true but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks

The E650 is a Windows Mobile 6?
Did you try to use the CAB instead of the J2ME Midlet?

We have no test case to use the Java J2ME Midlet in a Windows Mobile and
access an external GPS device.
But using the Windows Mobile build
http://www.watchee.net/download/Watchee.CAB
should work fine,

I've tried the CAB file and get the following error when I start up the application (and I have CF2)
An unexpected error has occurred in Watchee.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program or select details for more information.

Must be a Windows Mobile or compact framework .net incompatibility.
Can you please send us the version of each?
Thank you!
